Boyfriends As Sperm Donors

I am meeting more and more women who can picture themselves as mothers without their current partner even if that partner is the one that would get them pregnant.
On one hand, this makes sense because men have abandoned women for millennia with their babies so having a contingency is only prudent. On the other hand, the bloodlessness of the planning seems off, like the contingency is the likeliest outcome.
There is more stigma for a woman to get sperm from a sperm bank than to be impregnated by a guy that she doesn’t fully trust to be a father.
