• When couples fall into the silent husband nagging wife trap, the public manifestation of this is that the woman may take up the mantle of being the spokesperson for not just the relationship but for her partner as well
• It shows up as the woman saying “he likes this” or “that’s what he’ll want” even if the guy is standing right there
• While this may come from a place of deep familiarity it is dismissive of the partner and does not honour him as a person with agency
• An extremely sad example of this is when the woman complains about the man in front of him to others
