Modern Dating Is Stranger Danger

  • The fact that we meet strangers allows for bad behaviour to go unpunished. There is no social repercussions for lying or treating people unfairly, it’s another swipe and a blank slate.
  • The fact that bad reputation doesn’t accrue means that good reputation doesn’t either which is a massive loss. Someone could be a great individual but not a match but the system doesn’t retain any information on that person, they start from scratch again having to prove themselves.
  • The system needs memory i.e. reputation. We can tap into this reputation by involving friends and wider social circles.
