Modern Dating Is Stranger Danger

The fact that we meet strangers allows for bad behaviour to go unpunished. There is no social repercussions for lying or treating people unfairly, it’s another swipe and a blank slate.
The fact that bad reputation doesn’t accrue means that good reputation doesn’t either which is a massive loss. Someone could be a great individual but not a match but the system doesn’t retain any information on that person, they start from scratch again having to prove themselves.
The system needs memory i.e. reputation. We can tap into this reputation by involving friends and wider social circles.
