“Men Are Trash” Is A Lament Not An Accusation

“Men are trash” is a common straight woman’s lament. As far I understand it, what they mean is that they are disappointed with the average guy they come across.
Men often receive this statement as an accusation, that they were counted out before even being given a chance. In my experience, men are given many chances, perhaps too many in some cases.
The truth of it is that “men are trash” is a lament. It comes from a place of disappointment and you can’t have disappointment without hope. It is because women expected better from men that they are lamenting.
Women in my life have only complained about men’s behaviours and never about their lack of status or wealth, these are known and filtered for beforehand. Behaviour is something that unfolds. It’s not that men are trash is that they become trash by acting like it.
Out of the two genders, women are the more hopeful and also the most disappointed.
